Marylebone Cricket Club, the MCC, that owns Lords, has clarified that it has no intention of selling the naming rights to the sponsors.

Lord's will remain Lord's. That is what the MCC Chief Executive, Keith Bradshaw, has reiterated even as Lord's is set to undergo a 400 million pound makeover.
Describing the move to allow the ground to be renamed after a sponsor as akin to selling one's soul to the devil, that is one change that the MCC is not planning as also not wanting to change the various stands bearing names of the legends of the game.
The hallowed ground in London has been long called the mecca of cricket and bears a special mark in the hearts of all cricketers, and cricket loving public.
