The word on the street is that Vijay Mallya is not happy owning a Formula One team. He wants two. Even as he attempts to bid and takeover Honda who recently announced their withdrawal from the elite motor sport event, he is not keen to dump his old team.

Not content with Force India, Mallya is apparently embroiled in a bid for the Honda team for next year’s Formula One season. But there are other matters that Indian fans are also interested in – what he proposes to do with the Royal Challengers Bangalore, the team in the IPL that ended up finishing only second last.
While speculation was all round after Charu Sharma’s rather abrupt and early exit that more heads would roll, over the period of the off season only Ray Jennings has come into the picture as coach.
Talk was also strong that Mallya would perhaps want to drop Rahul Dravid as skipper of the RCB. It will be interesting now after Dravid has actually managed to score runs, and a century to top it to convince Mallya to change his mind.
But sources close to Mallya say that he is not interested in letting go of the Indian players in the IPL team. Rather it would be close to four foreign players who would perhaps be put up in the trading window. So, does this mean Zaheer Khan, Rahul Dravid and their ilk can breathe easy?
