McGrath Believes Brett Lee Can Deliver

Brett Lee is getting support from close quarters, from his former fast bowling mate, Glen McGrath.

McGrath is backing Lee to come back with a bang despite suffering a sore elbow in the first ODI between India and Australia. It has meant that 'Binga', as he is known amongst his mates, had to fly home and his absence filled in by the likes of Mitchell Johnson, Peter Siddle, Doug Bollinger and Ben Hilfenhaus in recent months.

But McGrath believes that Lee has built an aura around him that strikes fear in the heart of batsmen and that alone makes him an automatic pick should he be fit.

McGrath also stated that Lee would perhaps test himself in a four day game before entertaining thoughts about playing the first Test against the West Indies because a breakdown in a Test match could affect his long term career and that it would be better to return when fully fit.
