The Delhi Daredevils decided to end Glenn McGrath's misery by buying out of the contract!

McGrath may be pushing the age barrier but that he is as keen as ever with the ball was evident in what little he played for the DD team in the IPL and more recently in the Australia All Star Twenty20 led by Shane Warne.
However, that has failed to convince his IPL franchisee owners that he is every bit worth his $350,000 deal. After benching him rather sufficiently in the IPL 2 in South Africa, Glenn McGrath spoke about his frustration of merely warming the bench.
But there will be no uncertainty anxiety for McGrath in IPL 3 to be staged in India because the DD have brought closure to the contract otherwise valid for three years and thereby, ensured that what happened in 2009 would not be repeated in 2010.
But McGrath has bigger causes on his hands now, raising breast cancer awareness through the Pink Day celebrated at the SCG (Sydney Cricket Ground) also known as the Jane McGrath Day in honour of his wife who lost the battle to the dreaded disease on a remission, leaving behind young James and Holly to watch his father step up the game from the field to a more humanitarian perspective.
Meanwhile the Pakistan team got themselves involved too with Mohammad Yousuf, the Pakistan captain, prominently wearing the pink cap ahead of the start of the match.
