In a surprising admission, Australian batsman, Michael Hussey, has claimed that he did not want to be a part of the Champions League Twenty20 2010 in South Africa but was forced to despite the impending India Australia series.

Hussey plays for the Chennai Super Kings that eventually won the competition. However, for his part, apparently he spoke several time to Cricket Australia, asking to be excused from the Twenty20 competition to make himself available for the important Test series. But since Cricket Australia is part of the CL T20 venture, Hussey had little choice.
Hussey admitted he struggled to adapt to Indian conditions for the first Test in Mohali and stated that while he was committed to all three formats of the game, it was the cricket schedule that continued to bother the Australian Cricketers Association ( ACA ) and that he would take up the matter at a later time with the CA chief, James Sutherland.
Five members of either Test team were involved in the Twenty20 tournament and within a couple of days were forced to readjust themselves not only to play the Test format but also, to playing for their respective countries against each other.
