Contrary to the details emerging by the minute virtually, Lalit Modi continues to remain defiant and while he has asked the BCCI for five days to prepare his pitch for defense, he has come back on Twitter to state that he will go all the way - expose all those who are maligning the game and also blamed the media for blowing things out of proportion.

Read his Twitter post:
"People pressurising me to resign - I can tell you (it) will not happen. Let them remove me then.
"What we have done has been there for all of you to see for the past four years. No one can take that away.
"Wait for the IPL ( IPL 3 final ) to finish, I will reveal the men who have tried to bring disrepute to the game and how we stopped them from doing it.
"I am not the type to quit. Have faith. Did not create this to just walk away because xyz says what they feel like.
"What we have done has been there for all of you to see for the past four years. No one can take that away.
"Media is putting stories without verification goes to show how media can misuse their power. Don't get influenced by all these baseless stories.
"Truth will prevail soon. Trial by media and no chance to present the facts is like the wild west. Wait and the facts will be delivered."
Incidentally the franchisees have been backing Modi, partly because they are used to him as opposed to being unsure of how the tournament will run under new hands and also, perhaps because they have their own reasons, dare one say, unholy nexus themselves, that Modi has been a safekeeper for or further embroiled in.
Sharad Pawar has also called for patience, pleaded innocence on Praful Patel's behalf and asked that the probe be complete before Modi is collared which he thinks has been unfairly conducted so far.
But the BCCI officials have been holding informal meetings, and amongst reasons such as discussing Modi's ouster is also talk of forming a sub committee within the IPL Governing Council so as not to repeat the mistake of handing over power in the hands of only one individual, as was revealed in Rajiv Shukla's email to the BCCI back in January, 2010.
