Rajiv Shukla says, "Wisdom must dawn on him." And perhaps it is on Modi. Lalit Modi is stepping away from court battles, and appealing to the BCCI. But apparently he is secretly hoping A.C. Muttiah's court battle against BCCI will yield the results he is looking for.

Even as the IPL Chairman and Commissioner is battling allegations about money laundering, match fixing, team fixing, related to the IPL, the BCCI is adamant on going ahead with the IPL Governing Council meet on the 26th of April.
While Modi had earlier stated that he would sue the BCCI for an illegal meeting, he has now softened in a bid to buy time, appealing to the BCCI to say that having worked five years, he was only asking for five days to prepare his defense and clear his name.
Former BCCI chairman, A.C.Muttiah, though is becoming an unexpected ally for Modi by moving the Supreme Court to challenge the norms that allow office bearers to hold stakes in the franchises for Indian Premier League (IPL), citing the instance of N.Srinivasan, who is a stakeholder in the Chennai Super Kings.
But the BCCI president, Shashank Manohar, stated that Modi's hidden agenda was different from Srinivasan who sought permission from Sharad Pawar before the IPL unlike Modi who was fronting his relatives.
