Modi Denies Hiding in Iceland; His Lawyer Says BCCI will Negotiate; BCCI Deny Talk

It is either a case of Lalit Modi continuing to keep himself in the limelight or merely tiring the BCCI. Either way, the public seems to have had enough of the charade that the former IPL Chairman and Commissioner is pulling in the name of fighting the case.

Modi never seems to tire of Twitter. He posted this in response to rumours that in the wake of the ED stepping up their move, that Modi could be looking to seek asylum in Iceland:

I am not going to Iceland. There is no truth to the story.

Modi's lawyer, Mehmood Abdi, now claims that the BCCI are in a move to settle Modi's matter out of court, which the BCCI categorically deny as something that is happening. If anything, the BCCI are going a step further to suggest that Modi has not been in direct contact with them at all and that Modi's lawyer is spreading false statements.

It would appear that either the BCCI is hard pressed to keep Modi out of the picture or Modi is trying to find a way to sneak up the numerous allegations that have piled up against him. Either way it is turning in a tiresome 'he said, she said' saga with the truth effectively yet to be dealt.
