The BCCI summons slated for the 16th of July read, "You are requested to be present in person to address the disciplinary committee on the said issues after which the disciplinary committee/its members shall decide the issues raised."

However, Modi himself has termed the BCCI's ratification of the charges against him at the SGM as "malafide, illegal, perverse and unconstitutional." He wants the High Court to enforce upon the BCCI to dismiss the charges against him levelled by the BCCI and reverse his suspension.

Modi's lawyer, Memboob Abdi, has not confirmed whether Modi will be confronting the BCCI disiciplinary committee come the 16th of July.
