Rumours are whirling around the Special General Meeting of the BCCI where Lalit Modi is on the agenda.

Although N. Srinivasan, the BCCI secretary, has stated that the board would not dismiss Lalit Modi on a whim and that the suspended IPL Chairman and Commissioner will get a fair charge, the fact of the matter is that the BCCI is quite miffed with Modi's style of functioning, did not like that Modi draw unusual attention to himself with his extravaganza and ran the IPL like a one man show.
Now the BCCI may not be firing Modi but there are sourced within the BCCI who are telling the media that Modi could actually be facing criminal charges on account of embezzlement to the tune of Rs.1200 crore.
There is no doubt Modi wants to fight the charges but it appears he may be getting more than he bargained for. The official word is yet to get out.
