The enthusiasm in the Cricket South Africa boardroom was short lived as they were forced to issue a retraction.

Lalit Modi, the IPL Chairman and Commissioner, reacted to the press release by the CSA stating that South Africa were the hosts of the 2010 Champions League Twenty20.
Modi denied the venue was decided upon and that the talks were still on with the ECB over the participation of two of England's county teams for the CL T20 2010.
Modi clarified that other venues were also looked at and CSA were asked if they were interested.
And the suspense continues.
