Lalit Modi may have established himself as the unofficial king of the IPL, but winning the top post in the Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) is not proving to be an easy task.

The IPL Commissioner and Vice President of the BCCI finds himself with no voting rights because he has failed to secure the winning vote a second time. First time round, he lost to Sanjay Dixit and now it is the turn of C.P. Joshi, the union minister whose celebrations with the Congress party workers certainly had the cudgels up.

Modi claimed that three of his people were "roughed up" but that the police had done a good job to disperse the violent mob that protested Modi's private security.

Now Modi needs to come up with a master plan quickly.
