The Indian Sports Ministry is miffed with the Indian cricketers over not signing the WADA deal.

The Indian cricketers complained to the BCCI about their concerns about revealing their whereabouts months in advance if they signed the WADA papers that entitled them to testing out of competition. The BCCI took due note of their issues and promptly informed the ICC that it was backing the cricketers over missing the deadline, leading to a huge hue and cry across the cricket world as well as sports bodies in India.
India’s Minister for Sport, MS Gill, spoke out against the cricketers, urging them to be non fussy about issues with WADA, and comply with rules that had become universally applicable to ensure a drug free competitive world in the sphere of sports while citing that even tennis greats such as Roger Federer have subjected themselves to such tests.
However, the BCCI has chosen to interpret Gill’s comments as his private thoughts and is more insistent that the ICC break away from WADA.
