The Sports Minister of India is once again lashing out, this time against the BCCI and IPL functionaries.

M.S. Gill feels that the game of cricket is under threat from BCCI officials who have a direct stake in the IPL, whether as franchisees or acting officials. He states that the game is being manipulated in terms of rules and the spirit in which it is played, stated that it was done before with the Indian Cricket League (ICL).
He feels at the moment the game is being manipulated in favour of the batsmen while the bowlers are merely "victims" of the Twenty20 format and he feels cricket is being manipulated by those in power.
