This is not as ludicrous as it sounds.
Andrew Flintoff's manager came out in defense of the England all rounder, stating that Flintoff did not sign the ECB contract not because of the money, although it was a factor, but because the contract was too restrictive.

Flintoff's is not an isolated case. The more adventurous members of the Indian cricket team have also had to curb their enthusiasm as bungee jumping and their ilk carry an element of risk in terms of injury that boards are unwilling to risk.
With reality shows luring cricketers as well as celebrities, it is natural that Flintoff is looking in all directions and choosing a way he can make money and have some fun too.
Not signing the contract will not take away Flintoff's commitment to the England team though it will give him the opportunity to explore boundaries without borders.
