Pakistan will remain bereft of major cricket tournaments after the ICC announced their schedule for the next five years isolating Pakistan further.

The Pakistan Cricket Board ( PCB ) made an attempt through Ijaz Butt to have at least one tournament schedule hosted in Pakistan post 2012 but apparently the ICC was not interested in Pakistan, unconvinced of the nation’s ability to host a tournament incident-free in the troubled region.
Pakistan have already lost out on hosting the ICC World Cup 2011 after the Sri Lankan cricketers came under attack in Lahore and they had also missed out on the ICC Champions Trophy 2009 that was hosted by South Africa after a year’s delay.
Pakistan are presently playing a "home" series against Australia in England after previously playing them in the shorter formats in Dubai and Abu Dhabi,
