Mohammad Aamer continued to tear intot he Australian line up, leaving Michael Clarke holding up one end as Australia face a difficult proposition in the second Test of the Pakistan Australia Test series at Headingley, Leeds.

The Australian captain, Ricky Ponting, ended his vigil on sixty-six, Aamer getting his first scalp of the morning. By lunch, Aamer had four of the five Australian wickets to fall to his credit as Australia found themselves with a slender lead batting second in the match after a disastrous first innings.
The only thing that even allowed Australia to get a lead of forty-five at lunch was the half century partnership for the sixth wicket between Clarke, batting on seventy-six, and Tim Paine, Australia's wicket keeper.
But Pakistan would be wiser at lunch to know they need to get rid of the big pawn if they are to finish what they started to square the series at 1-1.
