Pakistan eventually scored over Australia in the Test arena. However, it was not without its nail biting moments.

The second Test of the Pakistan Australia Test series ended with Pakistan winning the match in rather thrillign fashion, but one they should have avoided because it brought back memories of that horrific Sydney Test.
Pakistan needed only forty runs with seven wickets still in hand and once they would have negotiated the first hour, they should have sealed the match. Instead their aggressiveness got the better of them as they lost wickets to leave the match with a slender, slim door ajar for Australia.
Eventually Pakistan managed to survive the forty runs to post their first Test win over Australia in fifteen years. In hindsight, Pakistan would be grateful for the half century makers, Imran Farhat and Azhar Ali, to get them over the difficult parts of the scoring. Not since 1995 have they been able to get the measure of Australia in a Test match. The win at Headingley, Leeds now means that the series has been sealed at 1-1.
