Pakistan team was penalized for ball tampering in the test at Lords... The team forfeited the game...Something that happened for the first time in 129 years of Test cricket history...Owing to which the English were declared the eventual winners.
Pakistan team was exasperated by the decision of the on-field umpires Darrell Hair and Billy Doctrove as they penalized them five runs for ball tampering...The team led by their captain refused to take the field after tea on the fourth day of the historic test at Lords.
Inzamam the captain of the team had been charged for ball tampering...Though it is nothing new for him as he has already been charged ten times previously...Since he took the charge of captaincy in the year2003...This is the sixth time he is up against the ICC code of conduct committee to defend himself against the charges... He is in London for it and the hearing is to be conducted by the ICC match referee Ranjan Madugalle.
If Inzamam is found guilty which is very likely...Then he may be fined about 50 and 100 percent of his match fee and/or a ban for two ODI’s or one test...Its going to be serious problems for the Pakistanis with the Champions trophy coming up.
