Trust Pakistan to cook up controversy in the midst of despair. First it was the defeat to England. Then Abdul Qadir's exit and now the coach and skipper fail to see eye to eye.

It has been bad enough that Pakistan lost a match they were expected to win. After all England were reeling from shock after losing to the Netherlands in the first match of the ICC World Twenty20 in England. But Pakistan failed to capitalize on the hosts' dejection and instead, showed a poor side to their own game.
Thereafter the chief selector Abdul Qadir resigned though his resignation was not directly attributed to the defeat.
Now there is talk that the captain Younis Khan and coach Intikhab Alam, appointed after the exit of Geoff Lawson, are not agreeable on how to take the team forward. The story from Younis' end of affairs goes that Alam is too old fashioned to understand the demands of the modern game and therefore, be of use to the team. If this is indeed the case that the captain has voiced such a strong case against the coach, perhaps the issue of the captain and coach working together may need revisiting.
But perhaps all the mayhem will die down if Pakistan manage to beat Netherlands by a margin in excess of twenty-five to qualify for the Super Eights.
