Even as Ijaz Butt's presence in England is being questioned over whether he has come to oversee investigations regarding match fixing or if he is here to apologize for several mishaps during the England Pakistan series.
However, Afridi sees the need to make amends and keep the relations going because he realizes that Pakistan will have next to no options apart from UAE and Dubai as neutral venues if England decide not to support them in the future.
With Pakistan cricket in turmoil even before the scandal broke out, the lack of support from England would be a huge blow to Pakistan.
