The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has named Shahid Afridi as well as Kamran Akmal and Umar Akmal in their Twenty20 squad for the 2010 ICC World Twenty20. Interestingly no captain has been named.

Either the PCB expected it is the assumed or is taking time weighing its options. Shahid Afridi was made Pakistan’s Twenty20 following their success in the 2009 ICC World Twenty20. But that situation has since undergone a sea of change with Afridi found guilty of ball tampering in Australia and subsequently punished by the PCB as well as the ICC.
The truant Akmal brothers have also been named in the squad and Misbah ul Haq sees a return to the team.
However, the intriguing bit remains – who will captain the team? Shahid Afridi is the rumoured name.
