The resignation of Shashi Taroor from the post of the Minister of State for External Affairs has hardly quelled the storm in Parliament who has now demanded cancellation of the IPL while the Finance Minister, Pranab Mukherjee, promises full probe.

If the Congress thought that the resignation of Taroor would calm the opposition, none was forthcoming as the members of the house raised the roof over the issue of IPL and the possible involvement of match fixing, black money, betting, some of the allegations Lalit Modi is apparently struggling to fight to get off his back. It is also perhaps the reason that there are murmurs about the BCCI wanting Lalit Modi to turn in his resignation papers yet, as the BCCI meet has been postponed until after the IPL.
With a leading newspaper supposedly laying its hands of Modi's connections, the new stories are creating quite the furore, enough for the IT department to want to probe further, after having already begun investigating since the past six months apparently.
