Former Pakistan captain, Younis Khan, made an emotional appeal before the parliamentary committee which in turn has put the pressure back on the Pakistan Cricket Board to reconsider its decision to serve seven Pakistan cricketers with punitive measures.

Younis Khan appealed to the committee to reinstate him back as against the indefinite ban imposed on him by the PCB, one of seven cricketers who were punished in the after math of Pakistan's tour of Australia, and claimed that he has been alienated for no good reason.
Younis apparently stated that even though he had minor differences with Mohammad Yousuf, they were not reason enough for the PCB to take such a drastic measure and deny him the opportunity to represent the country. He stated that playing for his country meant everything to him and that he was bitterly disappointed at the verdict.
The Parlimentary committee on sports has now directed the PCB to reconsider revoking its decisions. The news filters in even as there are certain disgruntled members of the parliament who do like Ejaz Butt's way of running the cricket administration even as Butt himself has claimed that there were pressures from undisclosed quarters to revoke the one year ban on Shoaib Mallik.
