Member of the IPL governing council, MAK Pataudi, aka, Tiger Pataudi, has claimed to a news channel that no all members wanted to increase the IPL more than its present schedule fearing cricket overkill.

Pataudi was responding in the aftermath of India's early exit from the 2010 ICC World Twenty20 in the Caribbean and when questioned upon by a couple of news channels on whether too much cricket was in the offing with the IPL 4 seeing two more teams to the present eight and ninety-four matches in place of the present sixty matches, Pataudi stated it could be looked into.
While Pataudi stated that it was perhaps too late to go back on adding the two teams, he said there was reason to consider if too much cricket was being played, laying stress on travelling and playing day in and day out.
Pataudi disclosed that the decision to make the IPL 4 did not meet every member's approval and that the decision was far from unanimous.
