The ICC President-Elect Sharad Pawar had perhaps wisened over the days since the IPL 3 scandal has become the rage and decided that the IPL Chairman and Commissioner was better off off the board than in it.

The decision to stop supporting Modi's stay in the BCCI and in turn, the IPL came after initially standing by Modi, suggesting that perhaps the NCP leader had perhaps decided that saving his own image, with the view of taking over the ICC in June and also, his position with the Congress, the ruling Indian government, was paramount in the midst of growing investigations.

The BCCI president, Shashank Manohar, is a strong candidate to take over from Modi to ensure that the BCCI and the IPL remain unscathed, although how much damage is eventually inflicted at the end of the findings is still open to speculation.

Meanwhile, Sule has denied that her father and her husband were involved in a sweat equity scenario similar to the Sunanda Pushkar- Shashi Taroor scenario. And with further allegations about another NCP leader, Praful Patel, being involved in the IPL 4 franchisees, the allegations have been far too many that has wanted the political party wanted to disassociate from.
