The current ICC vice president and former president of the BCCI, Sharad Pawar, is concerned over the developments of the BCCI's war with IMG as is Sony, the IPL broadcaster.

Multi Screen Media Pvt. Ltd., previously Sony, have stated that the timing of the BCCI disassociating itself from the IMG was not appropriate given that the IPL 3 is only a few months away.

Pawar, in his capacity as the President of the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA), has asked the BCCI to explain its decision and has warned that the move could seriously threaten BCCI's credibility with their stakeholders.
His concern is the latest to join a bandwagon of franchisees who are seriously concerned about the devluation of the league as a result of the move. Another area of concern is a legal wrangle for the BCCI from IMG itself.
The BCCI president, Shashank Manohar, has been appointed by the IPL governing council as the man in charge for getting to the bottom of the matter in time for the AGM in late September.
