The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is in a fix. Not only has it been publicly questioned, but also, it has been unable to control its players from voicing their opinions/protests without the media jumping in on the action.

Kamran Akmal spoke out confidently that he would play in Hobart though eventually the replacement keeper at the behest of the PCB has been given the nod ahead of the Hobart Test. The PCB is also concerned about the supposed injury feigned by the younger brother, Umar Akmal, who also spoke to the media stating he would not play the Hobart Test until the fitness Test threw his back pain out of the window.
But the PCB is also reportedly concerned about Mohammad Yousuf's public comments requesting former Pakistan cricketers to stop criticising him and his captaincy and to get behind him and the team and suggest any chinks they see. He said he was a learning curve as a skipper and although the Sydney Test slipped out of Pakistan's hands badly to give Australia an unassailable 2-0 lead, he said he was willing to listen to anyone, when there are already two rather experienced gentlemen in the dressing room in Intikhab Alam, the Pakistan coach, and Waqar Younis, the Pakistan fielding and bowling coach.
This trip down under is undoing some of the highs the Pakistan team has experienced since their tour to New Zealand and now Australia.
