A preliminary report based on the manager's record of Pakistan's tour of Australia has some interesting points to note for the Pakistan Cricket Board.

The PCB report is recording statements of several members of the Pakistan team and support staff and is believed to be narrowing in on the reason for Pakistan's shambolic performance down under.
The primary blame though is being put on the Pakistan captain on that tour, Mohammad Yousuf. Many believe that Yousuf was largely defensive by design, one of the moments being the Sydney Test that Pakistan lost when they should have won.
Another reason being raised is that of the lack of discipline within the team where there were too many problems within the Pakistan dressing room. There were problems with the Akmal brothers, with Kamran Akmal being dropped had Umar Akmal breaching several codes of conduct. There was also an infamous skirmish between Umar Gul and Mohammad Aamer. And the final straw came with Shahid Afridi landing himself in trouble over ball tampering.
The PCB also noted that Waqar Younis' appointment as bowling and fielding consultant may have also caused confusion within the camp with the players unsure of all the information coming their way and the direction they should have adopted. Waqar has since also shown a reluctance for the job.
