Ricky Ponting is not amused at the number of people who have shown up lately to watch cricket. And he knows why that is so.

The Australian captain believes it is the number of one day internationals scheduled rather than the quality of the contest.

Ponting did not believe it was the under par performances from Pakistan or the West Indies that turned off the crowds from coming to the stadium. Rather Ponting feels that fewer crowds showed up than normal because there were far too many matches scheduled for people to want to spend their time and money, indicating a "glut" of one day internationals.
