Ponting to Miss Twenty20 Internationals in England

--> -->

There could be more pictures of the Australian captain with his daughter, Emmy Ponting, given that Ricky Ponting will be given a break between the end of the Ashes Test series and the ODIs against England.

According to Cricket Australia, Ponting will now be resting and not playing in the two Twenty20 ( T20I) matches against England, an ODI against Scotland, and the start of the ODI series.

The idea is quite apparent - to give young gun or rather Pup, Michael Clarke, an opportunity to lead the Australian team but as CA puts it, it gives Ponting a breather in what will be a hectic schedule for Australia, including the two ICC events - the ICC Champions Trophy in South Africa in September and the 2010 ICC World Twenty20 in the West Indies.

Amongst other faces to miss out would be Mike Hussey, Nathan Bracken and Peter Siddle in the T20Is while Dirk Nannes would make a name for himself in uniqueness if he does make the final playing eleven for the Australian team in the Twenty20s after making the Netherlands (Holland) team in the 2009 ICC World Twenty20 in England.
