The West Indies captain, Chris Gayle, is angry over Sulieman Benn being singled out for severe punishment but is unwilling to talk to the media unsure of whether he would be held in contempt next.
But his angst is evident from the fact that Brad Haddin and Mitchell Johnson got away with light fines and the result would not be much different for the gesticulating, screaming Shane Watson who went overboard in his celebrations after having taken the wicket of Gayle.
But Gayle believes the competitive nature of Australia was going to provoke such situations but he is proud of the manner in which West Indies have fought in this series to restore the pride of the island nations.
But Ponting and Cricket Australia have been trying to change the image of a ruthless bullying Australia and the pictures from the Perth test did little for their reputation on that front.
