As the conversation proceeded with Lalit Modi and Shilpa Shetty also part of the panel discussion for a news channel, Ness Wadia stated that the decision to replace Yuvraj Singh with Kumar Sangakkara as the KXIP captain for IPL 3 was being blown out of proportion and he cited the case of Sachin Tendulkar to explain that not all great players made for great captains.
He then added that Yuvraj Singh belonged to that group to which his former girlfriend and co owner, Preity Zinta, jumped in to say that Yuvraj Singh was a good captain, though statistics did not do him justice, in her own words.
