Rajasthan Royals coach, Darren Berry, is simply in shock over what transpired at the IPL 3 auctions, leaving the Pakistan cricketers out in the cold.

Berry lashed out at the drama backstage that saw the Pakistan cricketers miss out on being picked for the IPL 3. Calling it a "sinister was bubbling behind the scenes" brought on by "politics and foreign affairs got in the way of cricket decisions."
Berry felt that Pakistan were justified for feeling humiliated after they were dragged through the charade of the IPL 3 auctions and he felt the IPL could have handled the issue with better discretion.
Expressing his personal astonishment at the turn of the events, he could not believe the drama unfolding as the Rajasthan Royals had apparently made up their mind to bid for Umar Akmal. But as he states, it had soon become apparent that there was more than player, not just Shahid Afridi or Akmal, that was being sidelined. He also stated that the truth was likely to stay behind closed doors but slammed the handling of the issue.
