Arjuna Ranatunga has never been known to go down easy in a fight. It appears his role since retiring from the Sri Lankan squad will not be much different.

Ranatunga was recently dismissed from the Sri Lanka Cricket by sports minister Gamini Lokuge and now it appears Ranatunga has decided court is the way to do.
Filing a case to sue for damages to the tune of $150,000, Ranatunga has filed one against Lokuge and Secretary of the Sports Ministry S Liyanagama.
The basis of his angst as stated demands that he know the grounds on which he was removed from the post, has not been given an opportunity to defend himself if there were allegations and also, of the fact that though he was promised no interference of the political kind, Lokuge was always in his face.
