RCA Secretary Sanjay Dixit Handed BCCI Showcause Notice over Tendulkar After Warne Spat

The Rajasthan Cricket Association secretary, Sanjay Dixit, may be feeling better after Shane Warne was fined. But his feelings could be opposite as the BCCI have objected to his remarks about Sachin Tendulkar.

Apparently Shane Warne, the Rajasthan Royals captain, was not the only one miffed about the response given by the Mumbai Indians captain after the Mumbai Indians v Rajasthan Royals IPL 4 match at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium. Sanjay Dixit did not like Tendulkar's comments either and went onto to tweet about them.

Sanjay Dixit had this to say on the social networking site:

Sachin gets out off a full toss. Can't blame the pitch this time.

That remark was of course in response to Sachin Tendulkar's dismissal against the Kings XI Punjab after Tendulkar had termed the Jaipur pitch as two paced. Warne's criticism of Tendulkar's comments were also hauled by the Mumbai Indians who termed it as malicious to single out Tendulkar.

However, while the public spat with Dixit cost Shane Warne $50,000, a fine he claims to have not yet paid up, Dixit's words have landed him in trouble with the BCCI who have not taken kindly to the official's truant comment about Tendulkar.

Sanjay Dixit will now have to explain his own blurts and it would be hard not to see Shane Warne smiling even though essentially Dixit was reiterating Warne's dismay over the pitch remarks. Sanjay Dixit will have some explaining to do himself, particularly since this is not a banter between players but rather by an administrator against a cricketer.
