The Rajasthan Royals' management's attempts to quell a looming storm failed as the Rajasthan Cricket Association ( RCA ) is now preparing itself to take on the Rajasthan Royals captain in a criminal case.

The IPL 4 just got stormier for the Rajasthan Royals. And the reason is Shane Warne, the Rajasthan Royals captain, who has been repeatedly taking digs during their matches against the Mumbai Indians, the Chennai Super Kings and finally against the RCA, the latter proving perhaps to be the costliest mistake.

Warne apparently let loose at Sanjay Dixit, the Rajasthan Cricket Association Secretary after Rajasthan lost to the Royal Challengers Bangalore. Calling him a liar and egoistic, Warne's rant against the official did not go down well naturally.

However, Shilpa Shetty's immediate apology and the attempts by the Rajasthan Royals CEO, Sean Morris, to end the matter by stating that the Rajasthan Royals management had punished the former Australian leg spinner after the latter tendered an apology failed to stop the Rajasthan Cricket Association from contemplating further action.

Dixit was critical of Warne's pressurizing ways to prepare the pitch at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur to suit the Rajasthan Royals. Warne even suggested that his team was being dictated terms to, which was why the BCCI stepped in to state that the prerogative of the pitch did not lay with the captain.

The outbursts of the captain have only grown as the Rajasthan Royals lost their way towards the IPL 4 playoffs and his offences are suddenly growing a dime a dozen to ruin what was otherwise a dream run in the IPL for Warne as the captain.

The Rajasthan Cricket Association is not happy apparently with a mere statement of punishment meted out without spelling it for their benefit. As a result, they have decided to take action of their own, which is basically filing a criminal case under the IPL code against Shane Warne in what is expected to further escalate battle between the Rajasthan Royals and the officials at the RCA.
