RCB's New Task: Finding Chris Gayle an Opening Partner as Dilshan Leaves for England

The Royal Challengers Bangalore may be on a comeback spree. But they will have an opening problem coming up soon. But then some would argue, with Chris Gayle around, how can that be a problem, particularly with 37 runs an over scenario?

Chris Gayle may have made an immediate impact in the four matches he has played since being signed up by the Royal Challengers Bangalore as a replacement player. However, it would appear that a little instability is in order for the team trying to finish in the top four for the IPL 4 season.

Chris Gayle has been surprisingly consistent to sending the opposition teams on a leather hunt ever since he arrived to play for RCB, with two centuries and now a 37 runs an over nightmare that the Kochi Tuskers Kerala will have to live with.

Before Gayle joined the Royal Challengers Bangalore, the team was suffering from a case of mixed fortunes and the new Sri Lankan captain, Tillekeratne Dilshan, has not been in the best of form to quite have the impact that the West Indian has had. However, the duo have together opened the batting for the RCB team. But now it appears the RCB captain, Daniel Vettori, is going to have to think some more.

Dilshan leaves the IPL 4 season early with permission granted as he joins the Sri Lankan team in England for a full Sri Lanka England tour. With the loss of the explosive batsman at the top, the RCB needs to quickly restructure their batting line up because they will need to make the most of their outings if they are to indeed finish on top of their game and make the final four.
