Mohammad Yousuf is in England for the England Pakistan Test series and he has reportedly assured the Pakistan Cricket Board that he would play despite his earlier vow not to play during the holy month of Ramazan.

Yousuf abandoned Christianity to embrace Islam and changed his name from Yousuf Youhana as he was known before 2005. Not content with a mere change in religion, Yousuf had also vowed to commit himself to Ramazan and not play cricket during that holy month, "It is a sin to not fast during Ramazan for a Muslim, I don't think cricket should be organised during Ramazan when one should focus on his religious obligations, I will never play cricket in Ramazan."
However, the present England Pakistan Test series will gradually held into Ramazan. But apparently Yousuf has had a change of mind and is open to the idea of playing, even if he means he will be fasting during the period.
