The Australian captain is taking a swipe at the England team composition. That way there is always a fair excuse perhaps to say it was not a "real" England team that beat their opposition.

Ricky Ponting was referring to the likes of Jonathan Trott, Kevin Pietersen and Eoin Morgan when talked about the fact that England are more than one player who birthplace was not England.
Ponting is attributed as saying, "I have got a lot of thoughts on why they pick those guys (referring to those name above), it is quite surprising when you work out how many there are. I think one of the reasons for playing ( Eoin ) Morgan is his attitude, but he hasn’t been tested against us yet in the longer form of the game "
But recovering from that stance, Ponting believed his team was all that mattered in the end, "But it doesn’t matter where they are born, we have to make sure whatever team they put out, we are equipped to break them down."
