The Rest of India team continued to pile the pressure on the Mumbai team at the end of the third day of the Irani Trophy match.

Mumbai managed 274 runs only in response to Rest of India's first innings score of 668, and even then, it was largely through the efforts of the Mumbai captain, Wasim Jaffer, who scored seventy-one runs himself followed by Ajinkya Rahane's forty-one.
It was only some lower order batting by bowlers, Iqbal Abdulla and Dhawal Kulkarni in cameo knocks that Mumbai even managed to get as far as they did as Jaidev Unadkat once again was in action with four wickets, while Piyush Chawla picked up three wickets.
ROI decided to bat again and the sight of Yuvraj Singh at the crease, batting at no.3 suggests that news of Suresh Raina's batting against Australia reached his ears and he is desperate to make this opportunity count to make his comeback.
