Ness Wadia may opt out of the Kings XI Punjab. That is the latest buzz. The Mohali IPL team, co owned by Bollywood actress, Preity Zinta, Wadia, the Bombay Dyeing scion, and Mohit Burman amongst others has been fighting off rumours that Hero Honda is interested in taking over the team as a franchisee owner.
While Hero Honda have not denied interest in owning an IPL team, Preity stated that there was no such deal in the making. However, there are rumours that her former boyfriend and partner, Ness Wadia, may decide against continuing further with the business interests of the team.
Ness Wadia was an active partner in the business venture but the break up of his relationship with Preity Zinta before the IPL 2 in South Africa saw the doting couple play very estranged roles. While they were seen together at the same table of the IPL 3 auctions, the same camaraderie was obviously missing. But it did necessarily signal a lack of interest from Wadia.
Their relationship came under scrutiny with reports that Preity Zinta's proximity with the then KXIP captain, Yuvraj Singh, was not going down well with those around her. Preity Zinta has largely been on a hiatus following the IPL 2 when she finally took time off after her break up. Ness Wadia made headlines for the wrong reasons in South Africa over a reported brawl but has since stayed much out of the public eye.
If it were indeed true, then this would be yet another break up after the duo broke up on a personal level and Yuvraj Singh has been silently nursing the wound of losing the KXIP captaincy to Kumar Sangakkara and now the parting of ways will, in a way, reflect back to the past events and incidents.
