Sachin declared 'Fit' for Sri Lanka tri-series

Good news for Team India. Sachin Tendulkar was declared fit for the upcoming tri-series to be hosted in Sri Lanka. BCCI confirmed after observing satisfactory progress from a shoulder operation Sachin underwent about four months ago.

Niranjan Shah, BCCI Secratery said,

Tendulkar has been undergoing rehabilitation under the supervision of team physiotherapist John Gloster and in the last five days has made progress satisfactory enough to make him available for the Sri Lanka series.

Tendulkar consulted his doctor Andrew Wallace in London prior to playing the county matches for Lashings club. The leading centurion in ODI cricket would not go for a fitness test, Shah said.

Sachin flew to England for the speed recovery of his right shoulder injury after playing his last test aginst England in the home series.Dr. Wallace conducted the operation on March 26. He did not appear in the ODI series against England and was not part of the Team India in the Caribbean tour.

India will play against host Sri Lanka and visitors South Africa in the Tri-Series from August 14 to 29. The national squad will be declared on July 20.
