The name tags bring a laugh. It was rather interesting to watch sections of the British media label Sachin Tendulkar as Mother Teresa of cricket. Well, we then reckon that Virender Sehwag should be called Messiah.

After that euphoric win in Chennai barely three days ago, journalists in the UK are finding new names to anoint arguably India's finest batsman, Sachin Tendulkar. But the one that takes the cake has to be one the one where Tendulkar has been described as the Mother Teresa of cricket.
While at the outset, it seems ridiculous to be even make a comparison between two people such as the late Mother Teresa and Sachin Tendulkar, the logic makes it a little bit easier on the grey cells to comprehend.
England agreed to come back to India after the Mumbai terror attacks. In light of that fact, the Test series itself had occupied an unusual situation. India's victory then, a history making one at that, was then also about the ecstasy of cricket itself as it was about the purpose for which this tour first went ahead in the first place.
Sachin Tendulkar's century was considered a heart warming effort in his own home city that was reeling under the terror attack. His dedication to the heroes of the aftermath was then perhaps the most memorable moment of events off the cricket match from the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
His efforts then to "bring a smile" was then equated with the outstanding and rather selfless service of Mother Teresa.

But on that same token, if the absurd exercise be stretched, Virender Sehwag should then be stretched to be called Messiah for bringing out the winds of change that laid the foundation for the unprecedented victory in the Indian sub continent.
Wonder what we should be calling Yuvraj Singh?
