Tendulkar has requested that people desist from regularly drawing comparisons between him and former Australian great, the late Sir Donald Bradman.
The view has been always that it is a hard judgement to pick one over the other simply because they belong to very different eras when the way cricket was played has also undergone a change over the years.
With the game evolving on the cricket ground and off it, the issue of cricket gear protection, covered pitches, quality of the attack, there are enough differences there already. Besides, the circumstances were very different and it would be hard to draw inferences from a variety of factors.
After all, did not Barry Richards say, in his opinion, that had Sir Don Bradman been alive in this era, he may have had comparisons with Tendulkar.
