Fellow countrymen, all you cricket lovers, please, please be mature and support the team in its defeat. This is the message our cricket icon, Sachin Tendulkar, wants to give to those Indian cricket fans who are over emotional, both in victory and in defeat.

If Team India wins a match, the fans cheer them and show their joy in various ways, showering them with flowers, rewarding them, and what not. But those very same fans turn nasty at every defeat. They shout slogans, burn effigies and worse, vandalise the houses of the cricketers.
Such crazy and emotional fans are not helping the players in their hour of need and when the players need more support, they feel pressurised by such tactics. No one can give their best under such pressure. That is Sachin's opinion and he has pleaded with the fans to be rational and mature.
Sachin was of the opinion that what is past should be put behind and one should learn from the mistakes to do better in future. Rationality, responsibility and balancing were the three attributes, Sachin said, would make success and failure easier to handle both for the cricketers and for the fans.
He also said that even he was disappointed by team India's defeat in ICC World Twenty20 in England, but was sure that everyone gave their best, but every time things do not go the way you want them to go.
Incidentally Sachin does not play in Twenty20 Internationals for India.
