Sahara stepped in to continue as sponsors of the Indian cricket team when their contract expired and the BCCI failed to attract new sponsors. Now in light of their buying the Pune team in the IPL 4, Sahara are set to revisit what they intend to do with regard to the Indian team sponsorship, while not backing away from other sports.
Sahara also intend to take on the IPL 4 season in full earnestness and they are not shying away from expressing their interest of having Sachin Tendulkar, currently captain of the Mukesh and Neeta Ambani owned Mumbai Indians, as the captain of their team and Bollywood veteran Amitabh Bachchan as the brand ambassador for the team.
