Drama once again followed Pakistan to England with the captaincy undergoing a change of guard after heavy defeat against Australia in the first Test at Lord's.

Salman Butt has been appointed the Pakistan captain for the remaining Tests in England, including the second Test against Australia at Headingley, Leeds, and four Tests against England that follow thereafter.
The announcement was made after Shahid Afridi decided to once again quit Test cricket following the 150 run defeat at Lord's. Afridi was always reluctant in the Test arena and this time too he was apparently coerced out of retirement by the Pakistan Cricket Board ( PCB ) but after playing one Test, Afridi stated the obvious - that he did not think he had the temperament required.
Salman Butt has been the man in form and it seemed amidst the chaos, he was the only experienced face on whom the burden of expectancy could fall.
