The Dubai Sports City faced a unique proposition, playing host to a cricket match between India and Pakistan, at the behest of Bollywood actor, Salman Khan, all for a humanitarian cause of course.

Shoaib Akhtar was the captain of the Pakistan team while Salman’ brother, Sohail Khan, was the Indian camp. Interestingly, former Pakistan captain, Shoaib Mallik, turned out for the Indian team.
The match was organized for Salman’s pet charity, “Being Human”, but apparently his charity will not be the beneficiary of the money raised because it does not qualify under the three year clause of charities before they accept donations and also, it would be illegal to pocket funds raised abroad with the charity being based in India. But it did bring India and Pakistan together for a cricket match and that was a lot to tour about.
