As hard as it is to imagine, Sanath Jayasuriya currently find no takers in the Sri Lankan dressing room for his comeback in the ODI series against India.

The forty year old is facing an unusual situation of warming the bench instead of being one of the men enjoying the run fest that has been the ODI series between India and Sri Lanka.
Jayasuriya may feel he has got a limited run in the series but the Sri Lankan captain, Kumar Sangakkara, believes that the team management will make a decision that is ultimately in the interest of the future of the game in Sri Lanka, even if it means swallowing certain tough decisions.
Jayasuriya had previously defaulted on his 2006 retirement announcement, but if Sri Lanka are intent to stick to the young squad, it may be curtains for Sanath. But he need not be too disappointed. The manner in which Sri Lanka have collapsed in the third ODI in Cuttack, he would be better off not packing his kit bag just yet.
